Welcome to the Cascade Orienteering Club's home page. If you like navigating through the woods, then orienteering is the sport for you! Enjoy the beautiful forests of the Pacific Northwest as you hone your map and compass skills.

Orienteering is a sport in which you use a map and compass to navigate a course through unfamiliar terrain. But mere description cannot capture the true essence of the sport. You must experience it for yourself.

Newcomers Welcome

We have courses for newcomers at all of our meets and friendly people to give advice and instruction. If you can't wait to try a course, check out our events page. If you'd like to see a sample of the maps we use, visit our maps page. Or if you want to join the club right now, fill out a membership form and send it in. Read our mission statement.

If you can't wait for an event, you can try orienteering on your own with one of our permanent orienteering courses.
