All local COC meets offer a course for beginners or newcomers unless otherwise noted. Starting Times: Local COC events have a start window from 10:00 a.m. to noon unless otherwise noted. Most larger events have pre-assigned start times for competitive classes, but also allow recreational starts. Course Closure: Course markers are normally picked up beginning at 1:30 p.m., so plan your arrival time accordingly. Electronic Punching: All COC events use electronic punching unless otherwise noted. Whistle: All participants must carry a whistle while on a course at a COC event. Fees The following fees are for local events. Larger events may have higher fees. $6.00 O' club member $6.00 Course 1 participants (members or non-members, first course only) $9.00 Non-member $4.00 17 and under $2.00 SPORTident electronic punchcard use Unfortunately, we are unable to accept bills larger than $20. Please provide exact change if possible. WIOL Participants School-age children who wish to participate in WIOL (Washington Interscholastic Orienteering League) events are strongly encouraged to pre-register by mail.
