105 runners participated in the 3rd annual
Adventure Run at St. Edward State Park. The
morning fog lifted just before the 10am mass
start, yielding perfect weather for a
November race. The race consisted almost
entirely of trails and grass, which was
unusually firm due to the recent lack of
rain. The course had 10 mandatory checkpoints,
leading to a variety of route choices taken.
Dan Hayes was the repeat winner from last year,
taking 2 minutes off last year's winning time.
The finish line menu of chili, soup, cornbread,
and fruit was well-received by all the
participants. Thanks go to Scott McCoubrey of
Capitol Hill FootZone for sponsoring the race.
